The speakers will present information and advice about how to handle common issues for practice owners. Aileen, Patricia, and Melinda are healthcare attorneys who represent behavioral health practices and will address the most common concerns that are heard from psychotherapy practice owners.
We’ll cover:
- Corporate Formations: What type of license is needed to own what type of entity in Illinois? Who can jointly own a practice?
- Forms: Release of information, privacy notices, etc.
- New law regarding use of AI / policy and consent
- What to do about custody issues
- What to do about court appearances
About our presenters
Aileen Kiska Brooks is a healthcare attorney and is licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. She has extensive experience in providing legal counsel to hospitals, physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Patricia King has practiced Health Law for over thirty years. She has represented healthcare clients in a broad range of transactional, regulatory and compliance matters. Her transactional work has included work on information technology license agreements, managed care, joint ventures, physician employment, health care financing and educational affiliations.
Melinda Malecki is a Health Law attorney with over 30 years of corporate, regulatory, and risk management experience. She provides legal counsel, corporate compliance, and risk management services to physicians, practitioners, safety net hospitals and healthcare organizations, including federally qualified health centers.
